Position Title: Psychologist

Position Description: Assesses and evaluates patient’s symptoms, needs, strengths, weaknesses and treatment goals through diagnostic assessments and social histories. Responsible to complete State of MN mandated diagnostic assessments and screening measures related to treatment and outcomes of the assigned patient population. Establishes collaborative treatment plans with goals and implements the patient’s course of treatment with the physician and other interdisciplinary team members, in order to facilitate stabilization and commitment to specific goals. Provides a range of psychotherapy interventions to include individual, couples, marital, family, and group therapy using the appropriate therapeutic interventions/modalities. Completes risk assessments and coordinates safety plans with patient and families. Provides psychological testing to assist with diagnostic clarification and treatment planning in one or more of our multidisciplinary diagnostic clinics, partial hospital programs, or in the inpatient mental health unit. Provides consultation for the consultation/liaison services at the hospital campus or in the emergency department. Maintains accurate, timely, and up to date records of patient progress, documents the results of therapeutic sessions, treatment plans, and progress toward goals. Facilitates appropriate exchange of information between team members and/or community agencies. Completes documentation as needed and/or required by county social services to facilitate connection with case management services. Coordinates and supports patients/families/guardians in completing letters of referral, application and other paperwork which assists patients in accessing needed resources in this community and surrounding communities. Provides clinical data to advocate for necessary treatment of patients as part of the insurance review update process. Provides consultation to the Inpatient Mental Health Unit or one of the Partial Hospital Program on the interpretation of psychological test data to facilitate in treatment and discharge planning, especially in complex or high-risk cases that affect the care planning process. Participates in the education of behavioral health or primary clinic staff regarding the psychosocial aspects of a variety of mental health disorders. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with public and private agencies, organizations, and referral resources. Serves as appropriate on Behavioral Health Services interdisciplinary task forces and committees. Participates in patient-focused policy formation and performance improvement activities. Maintains current knowledge of literature, research, and developments in the area of mental health diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Participates in orientation and supervision of new staff and interns .

Requirements: PhD or PsyD from an accredited university in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. Must possess Minnesota Board of Psychology license.

Salary range: based on a 1.0 FTE: $ 108,305.60/year - $162,448/year
