About The Role

The Bag Runner is responsible for transporting checked baggage between designated airport locations, assisting with baggage flow operations, and ensuring luggage is delivered accurately and efficiently to support airline departure and arrival schedules. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment while maintaining safety and security standards.

Payrate: $19.29 Hourly

  • Transport baggage between check-in areas, baggage makeup locations, aircraft loading zones, and baggage claim areas.
  • Ensure bags are moved safely and delivered to the correct destination within established timeframes.
  • Assist baggage handlers and airline personnel with loading and unloading luggage as needed.
  • Monitor baggage carts and equipment to ensure efficient operational flow.
  • Identify and report damaged, delayed, or mishandled baggage.
  • Adhere to all airline, airport, TSA, and company safety and security procedures.
  • Maintain accurate communication with supervisors and team members regarding baggage movement and operational needs.
  • Assist with sorting luggage by flight, destination, and priority status.
  • Respond to operational changes, flight delays, and schedule adjustments as directed.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Ability to pass airport background screening and obtain required airport credentials.

Preferred

  • Previous airport, airline, warehouse, logistics, or baggage handling experience.
  • Knowledge of airport safety procedures and baggage handling processes.
  • Experience operating baggage carts or ground support equipment.
