Recovery Services Specialist

• Central State Hospital is seeking a full-time Recovery Services Specialist to join the Recovery Services team!
• This position will primarily work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM but will rotate some evening and weekend hours.

Job Details

• Plans, schedules and conducts psychoeducational classes on recovery as assigned (e. g., medication side effects, ADL, communication skills, stress management strategies).
• Provides therapeutic support within the units and Recovery Center.
• T eaches and models healthy behaviors, consistent with the treatment/care goals of recovery.
• Contributes to safe and therapeutic environment by practicing verbal de-escalation and, as authorized, other behavior management techniques.
• Completes and maintains service documentation according to mandated standards.
• Communicates information relevant to care, treatment, and services, with other staff members. ​
• Assist with patient care duties and other activities as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred ( or equivalent experience.)
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be willing to work some evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver's license.
