61600 - Acute Medicine Unit – Registered Nurse 1 or 2, Inpatient

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE

Functions as a new graduate nurse with less than one year of experience. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, continues to build competency in the provision of direct patient care. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services.

FT positions available, D/E/N with 8 & 12 Hour shifts, Holidays and weekends per unit policy.

An Acute Medicine Unit that cares for a diverse patient population that offers great learning experiences across the medicine spectrum. Supportive team with multiple opportunities for advancement are offered here on 6-1600! There is an active unit council, several committee representatives & new pilot programs. Unit engagement and staff development are supported and encouraged. We are supported by our Hospital Medicine MDs alongside our Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and PAs). New Graduates (Level 1) are eligible for the Medical/Surgical Residency Program. The residency program is designed to assist the novice graduate nurse to successfully transition to a competent professional nurse. Nurse must have less than one year prior experience in acute care and plan for a two year commitment upon program completion.
