Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE
Accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards. Assumes an expanded role which includes but is not limited to the preceptor role, participation on committees, and performing advanced respiratory care procedures.
Fulltime and PerDiem positions available, 40 hours; Monday – Friday days
The Department of Pediatric Pulmonary is looking to hire a Respiratory Therapist to perform Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), Ventilator checks, and Exercise tolerance testing as well as providing general technical support in respiratory care including patient/caregiver education, Vest fittings and equipment support. Proficiency in performing and analyzing pulmonary function testing, oximetry, and capnography as needed. Demonstrates a working knowledge of homecare ventilators, CPAP, Bipap, suction equipment, and apnea monitors. Minimum of one year of respiratory experience preferred. NYS license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
