The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities
Administers cost-effective benefits programs such as pension plans and life, health, and retirement. Assists faculty and staff with benefit-related questions. Processes routine benefit transactions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conducts multiple plan audits for billing remittance to identify eligibility and contribution discrepancies, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the remittance process, Plan rules and data processes. Monitors, tracks, audits and maintains records, reports, and statistics for the University benefit programs.
- Reviews and resolves issues identified through the remittance and Plan audits. Coordinates with internal departments, as well as the Plan Record keeper, as needed to identify issues and ensure compliance.
- Processes benefits remittance payments each pay period or month depending on the benefit. Identifies and resolves any discrepancies or issues related to the remittance payments. Coordinates with internal departments and external vendors to resolve issues.
- Researches, resolves and responds to issues/problems effecting faculty, staff and retirees’ benefits. Communicates with internal departments and external vendors to ensure accuracy in administrative functions. Provides information based on knowledge of the plans, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Coordinates with internal departments and external vendors to develop the remittance calendar on an annual basis. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the remittance process as related to Payroll processes, data and file sharing, as well as vendor functions. Takes responsibility for monitoring the calendar throughout the year, identifying and resolving potential issues.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma and 2 years of relevant experience required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
