About The Role

Role Overview

We are looking for an Application Developer/Engineer with strong SQL and Unix Shell Scripting skills to support and enhance applications in a banking/financial services environment. Experience in AML/KYC and Java is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and support applications in a production environment.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for batch processing and automation.
  • Monitor scheduled jobs and investigate application/data issues.
  • Perform L2 application support , incident analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze application logs and identify root causes.
  • Work with development, testing, business and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
  • Support application deployments and production releases.
  • Perform data reconciliation and validation.
  • Prepare technical documentation and support procedures.
  • Participate in enhancements, bug fixes and project delivery activities.

Mandatory Skills

  • 3–5 years of IT experience.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Hands-on Unix/Linux Shell Scripting .
  • Experience working with:
  • Unix
  • Linux
  • Windows

  • Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience in application development or production/application support.

Good to Have

  • AML (Anti-Money Laundering) knowledge.
  • KYC (Know Your Customer) domain experience.
  • Java development/support experience.
  • Banking/financial services experience.
  • Knowledge of AML/fraud/compliance platforms such as:
  • Detica NetReveal
  • NICE Actimize
  • Tookitaki
  • FMicrosoft Continuity (the JD wording may need verification)
