About The Role
The Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in our project-based initiatives, working collaboratively with diverse teams to enhance our business and financial processes.
- Compile and analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Work closely with various departments and business units to understand their unique financial needs and challenges.
- Document new business processes and create clear, concise work instructions for efficient implementation.
- Assist in developing and implementing robust metrics and reporting systems to track financial performance.
- Present findings and progress updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the IT team to enhance our information systems capabilities, especially in Finance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for process automation.
- Support the Finance team in their day-to-day operations and special projects as needed.
- Comply with all NOV Company policies, including HSE guidelines, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably with a focus on process improvement.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Experience with database systems (SQL, Snowflake) and ERP systems (Oracle, JDE, SAP) is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of identifying innovative solutions.
- Comfortable presenting complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time for business needs.
