About The Role

The Sourcing Associate is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and onboarding qualified vendors to support business operations. This role focuses on expanding the vendor network by researching new markets, engaging prospective vendors, and guiding them through the certification process. The ideal candidate is resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Sourcing & Recruitment

  • Identify, research, and recruit qualified vendors to support current and future business needs.
  • Develop sourcing strategies to expand the vendor network across assigned geographic markets.
  • Conduct outreach to prospective vendors through phone, email, online platforms, referrals, and other sourcing channels.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective vendors to support anticipated demand.
  • Evaluate prospective vendors against established qualification criteria.

 

Vendor Onboarding

  • Guide prospective vendors through the certification and onboarding process.
  • Ensure all required documentation is collected and onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Partner with internal teams to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience.

  • Market Research & Demand Support
  • Conduct market research to identify sourcing opportunities and areas requiring additional vendor coverage.
  • Support demand planning efforts by proactively sourcing vendors in markets with current or anticipated business needs.
  • Maintain accurate sourcing activity and pipeline information within company systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, sales, customer service, business development, or a related role.
  • Highly resourceful, self-motivated, and driven to achieve sourcing goals with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage prospective vendors professionally.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and conducting high-volume outreach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with internet research, lead generation, or sourcing techniques.
  • Experience using Excel to organize and analyze data.
