JOB TITLE
Green Dot Assistant Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of the Violence Prevention Center (VPC) Green Dot Assistant Coordinator is to assist the Violence Prevention Coordinator in the management of the Green Dot Bystander Intervention Program. The Green Dot Coordinator will work with students, staff, faculty, and volunteer facilitators with a goal of reducing instances of sexual assault, relationship abuse, and stalking on campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate monthly Green Dot Student Bystander Intervention Program workshops which include coordinating facilitators, providing technical assistance, arranging door prizes, signup sheets, meals, and certifications.
- Coordinate other Green Dot Student Bystander Intervention trainings and staff/faculty overviews as requested by organizations, clubs, and departments.
- Assist Violence Prevention Coordinator with Saddle Up coordination.
- Manage Green Dot marketing material, inventory, and make recommendations for additional items such as t-shirts, hats, stickers, buttons, and other items.
- On-site supervision and technical assistance during trainings sessions which often include evenings and Saturday sessions.
- Assist in developing learning outcomes, data collection, analysis, and evaluation tools.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS
- Some supervisory assistance and office management duties in partnership with the Violence Prevention Coordinator and the Violence Prevention Graduate Assistant.
- Assist in facilitating staff meetings and staff trainings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and sensitivity to the needs of the campus community.
- Ability to work independently and on teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience and interest in working with diverse populations.
- Ability to present workshops to both small and large groups.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of the Green Dot Bystander Intervention Program
- An understanding of the issues, dynamics, and contexts surrounding power-based violence.
