About The Role
- Provide specialized technical support and clarification on welding, materials, and NDT requirements to project teams during engineering, procurement, and execution phases, ensuring alignment with approved specifications, project requirements, applicable standards, and established engineering practices.
- Investigate and resolve welding, materials, and NDT-related technical challenges during fabrication and installation activities, providing timely technical guidance that minimizes operational disruptions, maintains welding quality, and supports efficient project execution.
- Coordinate and monitor welding equipment, consumable, qualification, and technical resource requirements, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to support operational readiness, minimize execution risks, and ensure uninterrupted offshore and onshore welding activities.
- Coordinate the implementation of approved welding procedures, qualification requirements, and engineering recommendations to support project readiness, operational compliance, and successful project execution.
- Provide technical support to offshore and onshore welding operations regarding welding procedures, weldability considerations, production improvement initiatives, repair reduction measures, and application of best practices to optimize welding performance.
- Monitor welding performance, repair trends, and operational issues during fabrication and installation activities, recommending technical solutions and improvement actions to enhance welding quality, productivity, and execution efficiency.
- Support the development and implementation of new welding equipment, technologies, automation solutions, and welding methodologies that enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Contribute to the development of welding personnel by supporting training, qualification, and competency assessment activities, while promoting the application of technical best practices and continuous learning across welding operations.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Preferably Mechanical, Metallurgical, Welding), or equivalent
Minimum 08 years' experience in welding technology of various materials used in Offshore / Onshore, in Heavy Fabrication or Oil & Gas Industry
- Good working knowledge of various international welding codes i.e. AWS, ASME, DNV, API, BS related to materials, welding, NDT and inspection
- Conversant with welding of materials for offshore / onshore pipelines (mechanized and manual) and structures and piping
- Up-to-date knowledge of recent developments in the welding field with regard to quality improvement, welding automation, ECA / AUT for pipeline weld inspection
- Good standard of written and spoken English and good Communication and computer skills
- Experience on welding procedures development for mechanized welding
- Good knowledge on site trouble shooting
