Consultant / Specialist Physician - Internal Medicine

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant or Specialist Physician – Internal Medicine to join its growing medical team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive consultant-level medical care, manage complex adult medical conditions, and work collaboratively with specialists and allied healthcare professionals to deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult patients.
• Conduct comprehensive medical consultations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Evaluate complex and undifferentiated medical presentations.
• Review and interpret laboratory, radiological, ECG, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Manage patients with conditions including diabetes, hypertension, respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, renal conditions, infectious diseases, and cardiovascular risk factors.
• Assess patients with multiple comorbidities and coordinate multidisciplinary management.
• Provide appropriate emergency assessment and stabilization within the physician's scope of practice.
• Refer patients to relevant subspecialists when advanced specialist intervention is required.
• Coordinate patient care with emergency medicine, cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, nephrology, pulmonology, infectious diseases, and other departments.
• Provide clinical guidance to junior physicians and medical team members where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medical records.
• Communicate diagnosis, treatment plans, prognosis, and preventive-care recommendations clearly to patients and families.
• Promote evidence-based medicine and appropriate use of diagnostic investigations and medications.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, patient-safety initiatives, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Comply with DHA regulations, professional standards, clinical guidelines, and facility policies.

Requirements

• MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine .
• Appropriate experience at Consultant level.
• DHA License or DHA Eligibility is preferred.
• Candidates meeting DHA eligibility requirements may also be considered.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex adult medical cases.
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
