Consultant / Specialist Pathologist | UAE

About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Consultant / Specialist Pathologist to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnostic pathology, laboratory medicine, tissue diagnosis, and clinical correlation , with a commitment to accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic services.
The successful candidate will work closely with surgeons, oncologists, physicians, radiologists, laboratory professionals, and other clinical teams to support accurate diagnosis and patient management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pathological evaluation and diagnostic interpretation.
- Examine and interpret tissue specimens, biopsies, surgical specimens, cytology samples, and other pathological materials within the physician's area of expertise.
- Provide accurate and clinically relevant pathology reports.
- Perform or interpret histopathological examinations and special stains where applicable.
- Review cytology specimens and provide appropriate diagnostic interpretation.
- Correlate pathological findings with clinical history, imaging, laboratory results, and other diagnostic information.
- Perform or interpret immunohistochemistry (IHC) and other ancillary investigations where appropriate.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board / cancer care meetings and provide pathology-based clinical input.
- Communicate critical or unexpected findings promptly to the relevant clinical team.
- Provide consultation and diagnostic support to clinicians and other laboratory professionals.
- Review challenging or complex cases and seek appropriate specialist consultation when required.
- Maintain high standards of specimen handling, diagnostic accuracy, and laboratory quality.
- Participate in quality assurance, quality control, peer review, and laboratory improvement programs.
- Support appropriate use and development of laboratory diagnostic services.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential pathology records.
- Participate in clinical audits, teaching, research, and continuing professional development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable UAE healthcare regulations, professional standards, laboratory procedures, and facility policies.
Requirements
- MBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pathology, Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, or Laboratory Medicine , as applicable to the position.
- Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
- Strong experience in diagnostic pathology.
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and clinical correlation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary clinical and laboratory teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
