About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Specialist – Periodontics to join a leading dental healthcare facility in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of gum disease and periodontal conditions , with experience in periodontal surgery, implant-related procedures, and comprehensive management of patients with complex periodontal needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive periodontal consultations and clinical assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage gingivitis, periodontitis, periodontal infections, and other gum-related conditions.
  • Develop individualized periodontal treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
  • Perform non-surgical periodontal therapy, including scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
  • Perform periodontal surgical procedures within the approved scope of practice.
  • Manage advanced periodontal disease and complex periodontal cases.
  • Perform appropriate soft-tissue and periodontal surgical procedures.
  • Provide periodontal care for patients undergoing dental implant treatment.
  • Assess and manage peri-implant diseases and implant-related periodontal conditions.
  • Perform or assist with bone grafting and soft-tissue grafting procedures where appropriately trained.
  • Perform crown-lengthening and other periodontal procedures where clinically indicated.
  • Evaluate patients requiring multidisciplinary periodontal, restorative, prosthodontic, or implant treatment.
  • Review and interpret dental radiographs, CBCT scans, clinical photographs, and other diagnostic records.
  • Coordinate treatment with general dentists, prosthodontists, implantologists, orthodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and other dental specialists.
  • Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene, periodontal health, implant maintenance, and long-term disease prevention.
  • Explain treatment options, procedures, expected outcomes, risks, and follow-up requirements clearly to patients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records.
  • Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and continuing professional development.
  • Maintain compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, professional standards, and facility policies.

Requirements

  • BDS, DDS, DMD, or equivalent recognized dental qualification.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Periodontics / Periodontology .
  • Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
  • Strong experience in periodontal diagnosis and treatment.
  • Good clinical and surgical skills in periodontal care.
  • Experience with periodontal and implant-related procedures.
  • Strong treatment-planning and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and patient-management skills.
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered and ethical dental care.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary dental team.
