About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Specialist Anesthesiologist / Anaesthetist to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will provide safe and comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care , working closely with surgeons, physicians, nurses, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluate patients' medical and surgical risks.
  • Develop individualized anesthesia plans based on patient condition, procedure, and clinical requirements.
  • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care within the approved scope of practice.
  • Provide anesthesia for a broad range of elective and emergency surgical procedures.
  • Perform appropriate airway assessment and management, including difficult-airway management where trained.
  • Monitor patients continuously during anesthesia and respond promptly to changes in clinical condition.
  • Manage intraoperative hemodynamic, respiratory, and other anesthetic complications.
  • Perform appropriate regional anesthesia and nerve-block techniques within clinical competence.
  • Provide perioperative pain management and appropriate post-operative analgesia.
  • Assess and optimize high-risk patients before surgery.
  • Provide anesthesia support for emergency procedures and urgent surgical cases.
  • Manage post-anesthesia recovery and ensure appropriate transfer of patients to recovery, ward, ICU, or other clinical areas.
  • Provide appropriate post-operative assessment and management of anesthesia-related complications.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, intensivists, emergency physicians, cardiologists, obstetricians, pediatricians, and other specialists.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential anesthesia records.
  • Participate in resuscitation and emergency response activities when required.
  • Follow strict infection-control, medication-safety, patient-safety, and clinical governance standards.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and continuing professional development.
  • Maintain compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, professional standards, clinical guidelines, and facility policies.

Requirements

  • MBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology / Anaesthesiology .
  • Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
  • Strong clinical experience in general and regional anesthesia.
  • Excellent knowledge of airway management, perioperative medicine, and patient monitoring.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage emergency and high-risk surgical cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
