Job Description
Instructor for EMS related class. Must have active State of Ohio EMS certification and Ohio EMS -I certificate to teach EMT /Paramedic class.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of the Ohio Revised Code as it applies to EMT and Paramedic. Knowledge of the National Curriculum.
Knowledge of lesson planning/syllabi creation and other Instructor common knowledge.

- The ability and credentialing to perform as the lead instructor at certification level.
Essential Functions
- Instruct courses in either EMT , Paramedic or Anatomy and Physiology for Paramedics.
Other Characteristics
- Individual must be able to work alone and in groups. Be a self starter , patient and well versed in the EMS curriculum.
Minimum Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Should be actively employed as a practicing EMT /Paramedic for a minimum of 5 years. Must have an Ohio Department of Public Safety EMS -I certification.
