About The Role
The College of Nursing Department of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a full-time non-tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor. This faculty position will be responsible for the coordination and teaching within the BSN and DNP Program for the Psychiatric-Mental Health Concentration with potential opportunities to contribute to PhD-level education based on qualifications, expertise, and program needs. UT Health Sciences embraces four missions: education, research, clinical care, and institutional service.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching both didactic coursework and experiential supervision of students in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Research/scholarship activities, clinical practice, as well as service responsibilities will be determined in collaboration with the Department Chair.
EDUCATION: Doctoral Degree from an accredited university required.
EXPERIENCE: Two or more years of substantive clinical practice expertise as an Advanced Practice Nurse in psychiatric-mental health nursing is required.
LICENSES: Certification/recertification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner required. Unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee required.
DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES: Prior clinical and didactic teaching experience is preferred. Previous leadership experience and active engagement in appropriate professional organizations is highly desired.
