Your day to day

• Deliver exceptional guest service and create memorable first and last impressions for every guest visiting the hotel.
• Welcome guests warmly and assist with enquiries, directions, transportation options, and hotel information.
• Escort guests and their luggage to rooms while providing personalised service and introducing hotel facilities and amenities.
• Assist departing guests with luggage and transport arrangements to ensure a smooth and efficient departure experience.
• Handle, store, secure, and deliver guest luggage, messages, mail, and special deliveries in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Safely and securely valet guest vehicles in line with hotel policies and safe driving procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the lobby, driveway, baggage areas, and guest arrival spaces.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, shopping precincts, transport options, events, and points of interest to assist guests.
• Support the Concierge team with arrivals, departures, VIP guests, groups, and special requests.
• Attend daily briefings and communicate effectively with colleagues and leaders to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Promote a safe workplace by following workplace health and safety procedures, safe manual handling practices, and emergency protocols.
• Report hazards, incidents, maintenance issues, and safety concerns in accordance with WH&S requirements.
• Complete ad-hoc duties to support the smooth operation of the hotel and Concierge department.

What we need from you

• A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Previous experience in a guest service, concierge, porter, front office, or hospitality role is highly regarded.
• A warm, friendly, and professional communication style with the ability to build genuine guest connections.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong local knowledge or willingness to learn about Melbourne attractions, transport networks, dining, and entertainment options.
• A good grasp of reading, writing, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods, perform physical duties, and safely lift, push, and pull luggage and equipment.
• Commitment to maintaining high grooming and presentation standards.
• A valid Victorian driver's licence and confidence driving a variety of guest vehicles.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts where required.
• You must meet the legal requirements to live and work in Australia.
