Founding GTM

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a fast-growing, Y Combinator–backed AI startup as their Founding GTM hire. This is a rare opportunity to be the first go-to-market person at a seed-to-Series A company building an AI-powered customer support automation platform. You'll work directly with the founders to define and execute the commercial strategy from the ground up — shaping how the company sells, positions, and grows.

The company serves a customer base of high-velocity, AI-native software companies, helping them automate and resolve complex customer support tickets end-to-end. You'll have an outsized impact on revenue, process, and culture at a critical inflection point.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own and drive the full go-to-market motion — from outbound prospecting and pipeline generation to closing deals
• Work closely with founders to refine ICP, messaging, and positioning
• Build and iterate on sales processes, playbooks, and tooling from scratch
• Engage with prospects and customers to deeply understand their pain points and feed insights back to the product team
• Identify new channels, partnerships, and growth levers to accelerate revenue
• Lay the foundation for a scalable GTM function as the company grows

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

• A track record of excellence — you set a high bar for yourself and your work
• Strong commercial instincts — you understand how to create, qualify, and close opportunities
• 0–5 years of experience in a GTM, sales, or growth role, ideally at an early-stage B2B SaaS or AI company
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists
• Exceptional communication skills — written and verbal
• Genuine curiosity about AI and customer experience technology

Nice to Have

• Prior experience at an AI-native or developer-tools company
• Familiarity selling to CX, support, or engineering teams
• Experience in a founding or first-hire GTM role

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 USD annually
• Equity participation as a founding team member
• Opportunity to shape company culture and GTM strategy from day one

LOCATION

This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. You'll be working in-person alongside the founding team.
