What’s the role?

As a Quality Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how quality is delivered across a strategic technology initiative. Reporting to the Head of Testing, BT Platforms, you'll lead quality engineering practices across multiple delivery squads, engineering teams and vendor partners, helping teams deliver high quality outcomes with confidence.

You'll champion modern quality engineering approaches, including automation, API-first testing and AI-accelerated testing capabilities, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software delivery lifecycle. You'll also provide clear visibility of quality, risks and release readiness, giving stakeholders confidence in every stage of delivery.

This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Sydney / Warrane, Gadigal Country, offering the flexibility to blend office and home working while collaborating with high performing engineering, product and delivery teams.

What do I need?

• Experience leading Quality Engineering, Test Management or Quality Assurance functions within complex enterprise environments
• Strong capability in defining and delivering test strategies across large scale delivery programmes
• Experience with API, integration and component level testing across distributed systems
• Demonstrated success driving automation and modern quality engineering practices within Agile and DevOps environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and partners
