DescriptionAbout the RoleThe Multi-Site Director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a defined set of school-based sites. They are on the ground — visiting sites regularly, supporting teachers, making sure programs run well, and building the kind of relationships with school building staff that make HKP a trusted presence in every school. This is a role for someone who is organized, dependable, and genuinely energized by the work closest to kids and families.Program Locations:Fort Montgomery Elementary School in Fort Montgomery, NYLittle Britian Elementary School in New Windsor, NYEast Coldenham Elementary School in Newburgh, NYGeorge G. Mason School in Tuxedo Park, NYTravel Requirement: Regular travel between both program sites is required.Schedule:Morning Program: 6:30 AM – 9:00 AMAfternoon Program: 2:45 PM – 6:00 PMPay: $20.00 per hourPayday: Every other FridayJob Type: Part-Time, Non-ExemptFeatured Benefit: Employer-Paid ChildcareHealthy Kids Programs provides childcare for children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.What Success Looks LikeStaffing - Sites are staffed and covered every day; scheduling gaps are anticipated and filled before they affect the programEnrollment - Enrollment is at or above target at each site; families are satisfied and re-enrollingCompliance - All sites operate in full compliance with state licensing; records are current; sites pass inspectionsBuilding Partnerships - Principals and school staff view HKP as a dependable, communicative partner; day-to-day issues are resolved quickly at the building level1. Staffing — Recruiting, Hiring & LeadingActively recruit to maintain a pipeline of qualified site-level candidatesInterview, hire, and onboard teachers and Site Directors across your locationsBuild daily and weekly staff schedules; manage coverage proactively so sites are never understaffedMaintain a reliable substitute list and fill gaps before they affect the programVisit sites regularly to observe program quality and compliance firsthand; coach and support Site Directors and teachers in the moment and through structured check-ins based on what you seeAddress performance issues directly and document appropriatelyFoster a positive, mission-driven team culture across your sitesPayroll, Labor & Scheduling EfficiencySchedule staff to ratio — never over or under; right-sizing hours is both a compliance and a budget responsibilityReview and approve timecards accurately and on time; ensure hours reflect actual time workedMonitor payroll costs against budget; flag anomalies and take corrective action when hours exceed planBuild schedules with efficiency in mind — minimize unnecessary overtime and maximize coverage with the staff you haveCommunicate schedule changes proactively; keep staff informed and document adjustmentsUse HKP’s payroll and scheduling platforms (e.g., Paylocity) accurately and consistently2. Enrollment & Program QualityMonitor enrollment at each of your sites; flag concerns early and communicate them to your supervisorEnsure teachers are engaging kids effectively and using HKP materials consistentlySupport families with questions, concerns, and registration; be a warm and reliable point of contactTrack re-enrollment as a quality signal; follow up when families indicate they may not returnParticipate in enrollment events and community outreach as neededReport enrollment and quality observations to your Area Director or Regional Director regularly3. State Licensing ComplianceEnsure every site you oversee maintains active state licensing at all timesConduct regular compliance checks: ratios, attendance records, staff credentials, health and safety protocolsEnsure all staff have completed required training (CPR, first aid, mandated reporter, etc.) and that certifications stay currentRespond promptly to licensing inquiries or corrective actions; escalate to your supervisor immediatelyKeep staff informed of day-to-day compliance expectations so they become part of the routineMaintain organized, accurate site files that are ready for review at any time4. Building-Level School PartnershipsServe as HKP’s primary day-to-day contact with school building leadership — principally principals and school office staffBuild strong, proactive relationships with each building’s leadership; show up consistently and communicate wellAddress building-level concerns and complaints quickly; resolve issues at the lowest level whenever possibleCoordinate with school staff on logistics, space use, schedules, and building-specific requirementsKeep principals informed on program news, staff changes, enrollment updates, and any operational issuesEscalate district-level concerns or relationship matters to your Area Director or Regional DirectorRequirementsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Candidates may qualify with any of the following:Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.Qualifications:Some experience managing or mentoring staffComfortable with scheduling, logistics, and managing daily operational coverage across multiple locationsExperience working directly with school building staff a plusFamiliarity with state childcare or school-age licensing requirements a plusWho you are:Highly organized with strong attention to detail — you keep track of a lot of moving parts without losing thingsA dependable, hands-on leader who shows up, follows through, and takes ownershipA natural with kids and families — warm, patient, and professionalComfortable giving feedback and having direct conversations with staffA self-starter who manages multiple sites without needing constant directionMust pass a full background check including fingerprinting and reference checksKey HK Executive Skills — Bringing Your “A-Game” Means You Excel in All Three:Relationship with your job: Focus on results, not excuses.
