Consultant / Specialist - Obstetrician & Gynecologist (OB-GYN)

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Obstetrician & Gynecologist to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including antenatal care, childbirth, gynecological diagnosis, and surgical management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
- Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies and pregnancy-related complications.
- Conduct deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries where appropriately trained.
- Diagnose and manage gynecological conditions across different age groups.
- Perform gynecological procedures and surgeries as per qualifications and privileges.
- Manage obstetric and gynecological emergencies.
- Provide contraception, preconception counseling, and reproductive health services.
- Perform and interpret relevant investigations, including ultrasound, where appropriately trained.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, anesthesiologists, midwives, fertility specialists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure appropriate clinical documentation.
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, teaching, and continuing professional development.
Requirements
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology .
- Relevant post-specialty clinical experience.
- Strong experience in obstetric and gynecological care.
- Experience managing high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies is preferred.
- Surgical experience in gynecology is an advantage.
- Valid professional registration/license in the country of practice.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient-management skills.
- Consultant candidates: Appropriate senior-level qualifications and substantial post-specialty experience.
- Candidates with UK CCT/UK specialist qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board are highly encouraged to apply.
