Consultant / Specialist - Neurosurgeon

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Neurosurgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical and clinical care for patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients requiring neurosurgical intervention.
- Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures.
- Manage conditions involving the brain, spine, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system.
- Perform procedures for brain tumors, spinal disorders, traumatic brain injuries, vascular conditions, and other neurosurgical pathologies.
- Conduct pre-operative evaluations and develop individualized surgical plans.
- Provide comprehensive post-operative care and manage surgical complications.
- Participate in neurosurgical emergencies and on-call services as required.
- Collaborate with neurologists, neuroradiologists, oncologists, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical governance activities.
- Maintain accurate medical records and surgical documentation.
- Contribute to teaching, training, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery .
- Relevant post-specialty experience in Neurosurgery.
- Strong experience in complex cranial and/or spinal neurosurgical procedures.
- Experience with minimally invasive or advanced neurosurgical techniques is preferred.
- Valid professional registration/license in the country of practice.
- Excellent surgical judgment, clinical skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Consultant candidates: Appropriate senior-level qualifications and substantial post-specialty experience.
- Candidates with UK CCT/UK specialist qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board are highly encouraged to apply.
