About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Neurosurgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical and clinical care for patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients requiring neurosurgical intervention.
  • Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures.
  • Manage conditions involving the brain, spine, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system.
  • Perform procedures for brain tumors, spinal disorders, traumatic brain injuries, vascular conditions, and other neurosurgical pathologies.
  • Conduct pre-operative evaluations and develop individualized surgical plans.
  • Provide comprehensive post-operative care and manage surgical complications.
  • Participate in neurosurgical emergencies and on-call services as required.
  • Collaborate with neurologists, neuroradiologists, oncologists, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical governance activities.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and surgical documentation.
  • Contribute to teaching, training, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery .
  • Relevant post-specialty experience in Neurosurgery.
  • Strong experience in complex cranial and/or spinal neurosurgical procedures.
  • Experience with minimally invasive or advanced neurosurgical techniques is preferred.
  • Valid professional registration/license in the country of practice.
  • Excellent surgical judgment, clinical skills, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
  • Consultant candidates: Appropriate senior-level qualifications and substantial post-specialty experience.
  • Candidates with UK CCT/UK specialist qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board are highly encouraged to apply.
