About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant / Specialist Periodontist to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive periodontal care, including diagnosis and treatment of gum disease, periodontal surgery, implant-related procedures, and management of complex periodontal conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive periodontal examinations and diagnosis.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for periodontal and implant-related conditions.
  • Manage gingivitis, periodontitis, periodontal abscesses, and advanced gum disease.
  • Perform periodontal procedures including scaling and root planing, flap surgery, regenerative procedures, and soft-tissue grafting where appropriately trained.
  • Provide periodontal maintenance and long-term disease management.
  • Assess and manage peri-implantitis and implant-related periodontal conditions.
  • Perform crown-lengthening and other periodontal surgical procedures where indicated.
  • Collaborate with implantologists, prosthodontists, orthodontists, oral surgeons, and general dentists.
  • Educate patients regarding oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, quality improvement, and continuing professional development.

Requirements

  • BDS/DDS/DMD or equivalent recognized dental degree.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Periodontics / Periodontology .
  • Relevant post-specialty clinical experience.
  • Strong experience in periodontal diagnosis, non-surgical and surgical treatment.
  • Experience in implant-related periodontal procedures is highly desirable.
  • Valid professional registration/license in the country of practice.
  • Excellent clinical, surgical, and patient-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Consultant candidates: Appropriate senior-level qualifications and substantial post-specialty experience.
  • Candidates with UK specialist qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board are highly encouraged to apply.
