About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and Western-qualified Consultant Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based psychiatric care, contribute to multidisciplinary treatment planning, and support the development of high-quality mental healthcare services.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care in accordance with international standards.

Requirements

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including clinical interviews, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and stress-related conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient psychiatric consultations as required.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical response.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
  • Provide crisis assessment and management for patients experiencing acute psychiatric conditions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical meetings.
  • Support mental health awareness, prevention, and patient education initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and participate in clinical training activities.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs, clinical audits, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and international psychiatric care standards.
