This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Territory Sales Manager based in India.

This is a field-based sales role focused on growing revenue and strengthening customer relationships across an assigned <territory.You> will promote a portfolio of healthcare products and solutions to hospitals, clinicians, and other key customers.The role combines new business development with strategic account management and long-term customer <retention.You> will identify opportunities through tenders, government business, and direct engagement with healthcare stakeholders.Success will depend on your ability to understand technical products, communicate their value, and build trusted <relationships.You>’ll work closely with regional sales leadership and other commercial teams in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.With significant travel across the territory, this role offers strong exposure to healthcare sales and opportunities to develop your commercial expertise.

Accountabilities

  • Drive territory sales: Execute sales activities across the assigned territory to achieve revenue, profitability, and business growth objectives.
  • Develop customer relationships: Promote products and solutions to doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare stakeholders while building strong, long-term relationships.
  • Generate new business: Identify and pursue new opportunities through tenders, government accounts, and other potential sources of business.
  • Manage existing accounts: Retain key customers, strengthen account relationships, and identify opportunities to expand the customer base.
  • Support regional sales initiatives: Partner with regional sales leadership and other commercial stakeholders to execute territory strategies and achieve shared objectives.
  • Manage product demonstrations: Ensure demo units are used efficiently and effectively to support customer engagement and sales opportunities.
  • Build the sales pipeline: Identify, qualify, and develop leads while maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Communicate product value: Explain the technical and practical benefits of healthcare products and solutions to customers and support informed purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor market opportunities: Stay attentive to customer needs, competitive activity, and emerging business opportunities across the territory.
  • Take ownership of results: Manage priorities independently, remain accountable for territory performance, and consistently pursue sales and customer objectives.

Requirements

  • 1–4 years of sales experience, preferably within healthcare, medical devices, surgical or clinical products, pharmaceuticals, or a related industry.
  • Experience in medical devices, life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales is highly valued.
  • Understanding of sales cycles, lead generation, customer acquisition, account management, and business development.
  • Ability to understand and communicate the technology and scientific principles behind healthcare equipment and products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with doctors, hospitals, and other professional stakeholders.
  • A solution-oriented mindset, focused on understanding customer needs and presenting appropriate products or solutions.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to manage territory objectives and follow through on commitments.
  • High learning agility and willingness to develop technical, product, sales, and marketing knowledge.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with regional sales managers and cross-functional commercial teams.
  • Comfortable working in a highly field-oriented role with approximately 80% travel.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer opportunities and priorities effectively.
