About The Role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Logistics Supervisor based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to oversee end-to-end logistics and transportation operations in a fast-paced environment. You will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The position involves close collaboration with suppliers, freight forwarders, transport providers, customs brokers, warehouse teams, and procurement stakeholders. You will supervise logistics personnel, manage operational priorities, and resolve shipment or delivery issues as they arise. Strong knowledge of customs processes, international shipping, and logistics documentation will be important to maintaining compliant operations. The role also contributes to cost optimization, service-provider evaluation, reporting, and continuous operational improvement.

Accountabilities

Supervise daily logistics and transportation activities for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring efficient and timely execution.

Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, transporters, customs brokers, warehouse teams, and procurement stakeholders to maintain smooth material flow.

Monitor delivery schedules and proactively address delays, damages, discrepancies, and other transportation issues.

Ensure logistics activities comply with internal procedures, customs regulations, local laws, and applicable safety and security requirements.

Coordinate deliveries with warehouse and procurement teams to support inventory availability and operational continuity.

Review and approve delivery notes, shipping documents, invoices, and other logistics documentation, maintaining accurate records for audits and management review.

Monitor logistics expenditure and support initiatives aimed at improving cost efficiency and transportation performance.

Supervise logistics coordinators and drivers, assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and support effective team coordination.

Support tendering activities and the evaluation of logistics service providers.

Maintain logistics reports, operational documentation, and performance information for management.

Enforce health, safety, and security standards across logistics operations.

Apply knowledge of relevant logistics and regulatory platforms and processes, including Moana, FASAH, SABER, customs procedures, and industrial security requirements for dangerous goods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
  • Proven experience supervising logistics teams and coordinating day-to-day logistics operations.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international shipping procedures, transportation processes, and logistics documentation.
  • Familiarity with Moana, FASAH, SABER, customs processes, and industrial security requirements for dangerous goods.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly when handling delivery delays, discrepancies, or operational disruptions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of computer proficiency and confidence working with logistics and operational systems.
  • Fluent English is required; Arabic or additional language skills are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics, integrity, compliance, and high operational standards.
