Accountabilities

Lead market and valuation analysis: Own TAM assessments, valuation work, market research, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

Shape pricing strategy: Analyze existing pricing and packaging models, monitor market trends including AI and consumption-based pricing, and develop insights across products, customer segments, geographies, and public- and private-sector markets.

Own the long-range financial model: Enhance and maintain a dynamic financial model that captures key business and industry drivers, enables rapid evaluation of strategic decisions, and incorporates sensitivity analysis around relevant macroeconomic and industry factors.

Scale financial planning capabilities: Help integrate and expand the long-range model within the organization's planning infrastructure and processes.

Drive capital allocation analysis: Build sophisticated financial models and scenario analyses supporting major decisions such as M&A, partnerships, investments, and entry into new markets.

Translate analysis into executive recommendations: Synthesize complex scenarios into concise, compelling narratives that clearly communicate opportunities, risks, trade-offs, and recommended actions to senior leadership.

Evaluate investment performance: Track post-investment outcomes against original underwriting assumptions, identify variances and lessons learned, and feed those insights back into future planning and decision-making.

Advise senior leadership: Serve as a trusted thought partner on high-stakes strategic questions, helping leadership understand the long-term implications of near-term decisions.

Connect strategy with operations: Assess the operational feasibility of strategic recommendations and partner with business teams to support implementation and translate decisions into measurable outcomes.

Help build the strategic finance function: Bring an entrepreneurial mindset to defining processes, analytical frameworks, and capabilities that allow the function to scale with the organization.

Requirements

  • 6–9 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, FP&A, strategic finance, or another highly analytical environment.
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills, including experience working with large and complex datasets in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial and business topics into concise presentations and recommendations for C-level audiences.
  • Investor mindset and strategic judgment: Ability to synthesize complex business dynamics into clear investment theses, identify risks, and develop risk-adjusted recommendations.
  • Strong business intuition: Ability to connect financial performance to operational drivers and explain the underlying story behind the numbers.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: Able to make sound, high-quality decisions despite incomplete information and evolving business conditions.
  • Entrepreneurial and builder mindset: Motivated to define and develop a strategic finance function rather than simply execute established processes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills: Comfortable partnering with Finance, executives, and operational teams to translate strategic analysis into practical action.
  • Technology-sector experience preferred: Background in SaaS, data, or technology businesses is advantageous.
  • Blockchain, crypto, or Web3 familiarity is a strong plus, though not required.
  • AI fluency and curiosity: Willingness to adopt emerging AI-enabled workflows, experiment with new tools, and take ownership of the quality and outcomes of AI-assisted work.

Competitive base salary

  • Tier 1: $142,000–$237,000 USD
  • Tier 2: $124,000–$207,000 USD
  • Equity compensation as part of the overall rewards package.
