As an Industry Relations Manager, you will build and strengthen relationships with influential stakeholders across the automotive collision repair <industry.You> will serve as a trusted point of contact for key accounts, understanding their priorities and connecting them with relevant program value.The role combines relationship management, business development support, industry engagement, communications, and strategic <outreach.You> will help expand awareness of industry programs by identifying new opportunities, developing compelling messaging, and supporting client-facing <initiatives.You> will also represent the organization at industry events, participate in media activities, and share market intelligence with internal teams.This is a highly collaborative and customer-focused role suited to an experienced industry professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with diverse stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the automotive collision repair industry while identifying and building connections with prospective clients.
  • Meet with industry contacts through client meetings, facility tours, training sessions, and other engagement activities to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, anticipating their needs and developing a thorough understanding of their businesses, priorities, and objectives.
  • Prepare executive talking points, presentations, and other client-facing materials that clearly communicate program value and address stakeholder priorities.
  • Identify strategic areas for growth and engagement, highlighting program differentiators, unique selling propositions, and competitive advantages.
  • Support new business development activities by contributing ideas, conducting industry research, gathering client feedback, and assisting with proposal preparation.
  • Recommend effective public relations and communication approaches to internal teams based on industry trends, stakeholder expectations, and best practices.
  • Participate in media interviews and support preparation for media engagements when appropriate.
  • Attend relevant industry conferences, meetings, and networking events to strengthen relationships, promote programs, and gather market intelligence.
  • Share insights and relevant industry information with internal teams and provide recommendations for program improvements or modifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, marketing, sales, and other functions to ensure industry feedback is translated into actionable business opportunities.
  • Represent the organization professionally and consistently while maintaining a strong customer-focused and quality-driven approach.
  • Travel extensively, including local and international travel, to support stakeholder engagement, industry events, client activities, and business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education or professional training is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience within the automotive collision industry.
  • Previous experience supporting sales activities, including quotation development and related business development processes.
  • Strong understanding of the automotive collision repair sector, industry stakeholders, and relevant business dynamics.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with audiences ranging from industry professionals to senior executives.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish credibility and maintain productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and assertive, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions with limited supervision.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, marketing, sales, and other business functions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general business computer systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to remain effective in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong customer orientation and commitment to quality, service, and professional standards.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time, including local and international travel.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside within the country.
  • Physical ability and mobility to travel by car and airplane and perform the administrative and clerical duties associated with the position.
