This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Registered Dietitian based in United States.

This is a remote, contract opportunity for a Registered Dietitian supporting a virtual pediatric metabolic health program for <adolescents.You> will provide individualized nutrition care to teens and their families, including patients receiving GLP-1 therapy when clinically appropriate.The role combines clinical assessment, nutrition counseling, ongoing monitoring, and close coordination with a multidisciplinary care <team.You> will take a family-centered approach, creating practical plans that reflect each patient’s goals, culture, resources, and daily life.Beyond direct care, you’ll have an opportunity to contribute to the evolution of care pathways and the way virtual adolescent nutrition services are delivered.The position is well suited to a clinician who enjoys relationship-based care, telehealth, and working in an emerging area of pediatric metabolic health.The engagement begins at 30–50+ hours per month, with potential to grow as the patient population expands.

Accountabilities

Conduct comprehensive clinical intake and review: Assess patient intake materials, medical history, laboratory results, baseline health information, and prior care to develop a clear understanding of each adolescent’s clinical picture.

Identify nutrition-related considerations: Evaluate nutrition risks, comorbidities, and other relevant factors, escalating issues requiring physician or broader clinical attention when appropriate.

Deliver individualized nutrition care: Meet with adolescents and their families through telehealth to understand their needs, goals, eating patterns, and readiness for change, then develop practical nutrition and care plans tailored to their circumstances.

Support patients throughout treatment: Provide ongoing nutrition counseling, monitor progress, and adjust care plans as patients and families evolve, including coordination with medical treatment such as GLP-1 therapy when clinically appropriate.

Coordinate multidisciplinary care: Partner with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and other clinical team members to ensure families receive consistent, cohesive care and that nutrition considerations are incorporated into broader treatment decisions.

Contribute to care improvement: Participate in case reviews, care-team communication, and the ongoing development of care pathways and technology-enabled processes as the program grows.

Requirements

Professional credentials: Hold a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential, with the appropriate education and current licensure.

Adolescent nutrition experience: Have experience working with adolescents with obesity or elevated BMI, along with a genuine interest in pediatric metabolic health.

GLP-1 familiarity: Bring experience supporting adolescents receiving GLP-1 therapy or demonstrate a clear interest in developing expertise in this area.

Licensure: Be licensed to practice in one or more of the relevant states — FL, TX, CA, AZ, MI, IL, NY, NJ, PA, OH, UT, or AL — or be willing to obtain the required licenses and credentials.

Availability: Commit to approximately 30–50+ hours per month, with the flexibility to increase hours as the patient population grows.

Clinical and communication skills: Demonstrate strong counseling, listening, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with adolescents and their parents or caregivers.

Family-centered approach: Be comfortable adapting nutrition recommendations to different family circumstances, cultures, resources, and levels of readiness for change.

Collaborative mindset: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team and communicate clinical recommendations clearly.

Adaptability and initiative: Be interested not only in delivering care but also in improving care pathways and the systems that support patients and clinicians.

Preferred experience: Telemedicine, pediatric or adolescent nutrition, and behavioral or family-centered counseling experience are strong advantages.

Contract structure: This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
