This is a fully remote opportunity to support business process analysis, software testing, and operational improvement within a federal <environment.You> will work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to turn business needs into clear, actionable requirements.The role combines business analysis with hands-on quality assurance, including functional, regression, data validation, usability, and accessibility <testing.You> will help ensure technology solutions meet mission objectives, business expectations, and clearly defined acceptance criteria.The position also offers exposure to cloud modernization, Agile delivery, DevSecOps practices, and process automation <initiatives.You> will operate in a collaborative environment where strong communication, structured problem-solving, and high-quality documentation are essential.This role is well suited to an analytical professional who enjoys connecting business needs with technology and driving measurable improvements.
Accountabilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, refine, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs and epics into features, user stories, business rules, and clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Ensure requirements and solutions remain aligned with mission objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures to verify solution quality.
- Perform functional, regression, data validation, usability, and accessibility (Section 508) testing across applications and data systems.
- Validate implemented functionality against acceptance criteria and business requirements before production release.
- Identify, document, track, and support the resolution of defects and issues in collaboration with development teams and stakeholders.
- Support User Acceptance Testing activities, including stakeholder coordination, documentation of results, and issue tracking through resolution.
- Analyze current-state processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation, operational improvement, and increased efficiency.
- Support testing and validation activities associated with cloud migration and application or data modernization initiatives.
- Develop high-quality documentation, including process flows, requirements, test artifacts, gap analyses, and recommendations.
- Communicate testing results, requirements, risks, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of total professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting business analysis, software testing, and quality assurance activities in a federal environment.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
- Proven experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, validation procedures, and defect-tracking activities.
- Experience working with Agile software development teams and applying Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or comparable Agile lifecycle and project management platforms.
- Experience conducting functional, regression, data validation, usability, and accessibility testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to present clear recommendations based on analysis and testing results.
- Experience supporting cloud-based application or data modernization initiatives is preferred.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is preferred.
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Postman, or similar technologies is preferred.
- Experience documenting current-state and future-state workflows and conducting gap analyses is valued.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps concepts and CI/CD practices is a plus.
- Experience working with federal government technology programs is highly relevant to the role.

- Estimated annual salary range of $85,093–$92,000, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
