Senior Full-stack Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full-stack Engineer based in India.

This is a senior engineering opportunity focused on the long-term stability, scalability, and evolution of production web <applications.You> will take ownership of features beyond their initial launch, improving established systems across both frontend and backend technologies.The role combines hands-on development with production troubleshooting, performance optimization, code quality, and technical <stewardship.You> will work extensively with React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript while optimizing APIs, data models, and cloud infrastructure.AI-powered coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex will be part of your daily workflow, helping accelerate refactoring, maintenance, and engineering <improvements.You> will collaborate with clients, product stakeholders, designers, and engineers in a fast-paced, delivery-focused consulting environment.This role is ideal for an experienced full-stack engineer who enjoys solving complex production challenges and ensuring systems remain reliable as they scale.

Accountabilities

• Maintain, optimize, and continuously evolve production features across React/Next.js frontends and Node.js/TypeScript backends.
• Take ownership of the long-term health, reliability, and performance of established web applications.
• Refactor and scale APIs while improving underlying data models and database performance to support growing workloads.
• Review existing codebases and implement improvements that enhance maintainability, readability, consistency, and performance.
• Monitor production telemetry and proactively identify potential reliability, performance, or scalability issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents while helping maintain high availability and a strong user experience.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and client stakeholders to deliver end-to-end product refinements.
• Use AI coding agents and related tools to accelerate development, refactoring, optimization, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to engineering standards, development tooling, testing practices, and processes that improve the long-term quality of production systems.
• Support scalable and reliable production workloads running on AWS.
• Communicate system health, technical risks, progress, and proposed improvements clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience maintaining and scaling high-traffic, production-grade full-stack web applications.
• Strong hands-on TypeScript experience across both React/Next.js frontend applications and Node.js backend systems.
• Proven experience optimizing APIs and improving database performance in production environments.
• Professional experience running, maintaining, and stabilizing production workloads on AWS.
• Strong understanding of software testing and disciplined development practices, with a focus on readable, maintainable, and robust code.
• Ability to navigate established codebases effectively and make improvements without disrupting production reliability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to engineering, prioritizing solutions that deliver sustainable performance and stability.
• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and distributed engineering teams.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, agile consulting environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
• Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to take responsibility for the long-term health of production systems.
• Comfort working alongside AI coding agents and integrating AI-assisted development into everyday engineering workflows.
• Experience with AI-focused products or LLM integrations is an advantage.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL optimization and management is desirable.
• Familiarity with established design systems, CI/CD, and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Open-source contributions or experience maintaining widely used software is an additional advantage.
