This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Group Creative Director based in the United States.

This is a senior creative leadership opportunity within a specialized healthcare and rare-disease agency <environment.You> will shape creative vision and execution across marketing, training, promotional, and experiential initiatives.The role combines strategic leadership, creative excellence, client partnership, and business <growth.You> will guide multidisciplinary Art and Copy teams while setting ambitious standards for storytelling, innovation, and <execution.As> a trusted advisor to senior leadership and clients, you will translate complex healthcare challenges into compelling, strategically grounded creative <experiences.You> will also play a key role in developing talent, optimizing creative operations, and strengthening the agency’s competitive capabilities.The position is ideal for an experienced creative leader who brings strong healthcare expertise, executive presence, and a passion for meaningful patient and healthcare-professional experiences.

Accountabilities

  • Lead creative excellence across marketing, training, promotional, and experiential initiatives, ensuring consistently high-quality and strategically relevant work.
  • Inspire multidisciplinary Art and Copy teams to develop breakthrough concepts grounded in client objectives, audience insights, and business strategy.
  • Establish and maintain creative standards covering concept development, storytelling, campaign architecture, and final execution.
  • Act as the senior creative reviewer for major client and leadership deliverables, providing clear direction and maintaining a high creative bar.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop creative talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify staffing requirements and help build high-performing creative teams with the right capabilities and resources.
  • Lead senior client relationships, presenting creative work with strategic clarity, confidence, and compelling rationale.
  • Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation, business growth, and long-term partnership development.
  • Optimize creative operations, resource planning, workflow, and team utilization to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Review creative estimates, staffing recommendations, and workload allocation to support quality, profitability, and effective resource management.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Creative Officer, translating overarching creative vision into actionable direction and execution.
  • Lead pitch development, agency initiatives, and new-business presentations that strengthen growth opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Champion emerging technologies, AI capabilities, creative trends, and new approaches to elevate creative offerings and agency capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 15+ years of agency experience, including significant experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or related marketing environments.
  • Previous experience as a Group Creative Director, Executive Creative Director, Creative Director, or comparable senior creative leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing multidisciplinary creative teams across Art, Copy, and related disciplines.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating strategically driven, high-quality, and preferably award-winning creative work.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing, omnichannel engagement, client brands, business objectives, market dynamics, and industry challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships and influence senior stakeholders through strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Track record of contributing to agency growth, new-business development, pitches, and successful client expansion.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to guide detailed execution and make sound creative and business decisions.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Strong coaching and people-leadership capabilities, with a commitment to developing creative talent and strengthening team performance.
  • Passion for creating meaningful experiences that positively engage patients, healthcare professionals, and other healthcare audiences.
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies, AI-enabled creative capabilities, and evolving industry and cultural trends.

Benefits

  • Competitive annual base salary range of $107,900–$300,800, with actual compensation determined by qualifications, experience, location, schedule, and other job-related factors.
