Accountabilities
- Build and manage an independent financial services advisory practice, taking ownership of business development, client relationships, and overall portfolio growth.
- Establish yourself as a trusted financial advisor within your community by understanding clients’ financial goals and providing personalized recommendations.
- Develop and grow a sustainable client portfolio through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, relationship building, and community involvement.
- Provide advice-based insurance and wealth solutions tailored to the individual needs and objectives of clients and their families.
- Maintain consistent engagement with clients to strengthen loyalty, confidence, retention, and long-term financial outcomes.
- Represent the organization professionally in the community while maintaining client-first standards, brand expectations, and applicable business requirements.
- Manage your sales pipeline, priorities, time, and business activity with discipline and accountability.
- Continuously strengthen your knowledge of insurance, wealth solutions, financial services, and relevant market developments.
- Operate independently while adhering to the terms of the independent contractor relationship and applicable licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Complete required background, credit, and eligibility checks as part of the recruitment and onboarding process.
Requirements
Valid Insurance of Persons license in Quebec, or willingness and ability to obtain the required license and maintain ongoing licensing and continuing education requirements.
Experience in financial services, insurance, banking, advice-based sales, wealth management, account management, or business development is an asset.
Experience running a business or working in an entrepreneurial, independent, or community-based sales environment is highly relevant.
Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships and convert those relationships into sustainable business growth.
Strong sales and business-development mindset, with confidence in prospecting, networking, generating opportunities, and developing referrals.
Client-facing experience where credibility, consultation, and long-term relationship management are central to success.
Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and relationship-management skills.
Client-first and consultative approach, with a genuine interest in helping individuals and families achieve greater financial security.
High level of self-motivation, resilience, accountability, and persistence when pursuing business goals.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take full ownership of business results.
Professional working proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, as the role requires frequent communication about complex matters with internal and external stakeholders in both languages.
