Senior Software Engineer

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain high-quality, production-ready full-stack software features for a modern web-based platform.
• Build scalable solutions using Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and modern component-based front-end frameworks.
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into clear technical approaches, implementation plans, and reliable shipped solutions.
• Apply strong software engineering principles across architecture, data structures, algorithms, system design, performance, and maintainability.
• Work effectively in an AI-first development environment, using generative AI for architecture exploration, code generation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Apply strong judgment when reviewing AI-generated code, validating its correctness, security, maintainability, and suitability for production.
• Improve application performance and reliability through effective debugging, optimization, monitoring, and technical problem-solving.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD practices, automated testing, and reliable software delivery processes.
• Design and optimize relational database solutions, including SQL queries, data models, and query performance.
• Participate actively in code reviews and use engineering expertise and AI-assisted workflows to improve overall code quality.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects, proactively identifying and managing technical risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
• Communicate technical concepts, architectural decisions, tradeoffs, and risks clearly to engineering, product, and other stakeholders.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, technical guidance, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Share effective AI workflows, automation techniques, and development practices that improve team productivity and engineering quality.
• Contribute to a collaborative, agile environment by giving and receiving feedback constructively and supporting continuous learning.

Requirements

Senior-level professional software engineering experience with a strong background in full-stack web development.

Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.

Experience with modern web technologies such as Vue, React, or other component-based frameworks.

Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, system design, and software architecture principles.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with generative AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle, including prompt engineering and critical evaluation of AI-generated outputs.

Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD practices, and modern software delivery processes.

Experience with relational databases and SQL, including data modeling and query optimization.

Ability to translate complex or ambiguous requirements into structured technical solutions and production-ready implementations.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an agile, team-oriented environment.

Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality work with strong test coverage and minimal rework.

Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical discussions, code reviews, documentation, or internal learning initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable, well-documented code and continuously improving engineering practices.
