This remote opportunity is designed for an experienced training and readiness professional with deep expertise in Joint Training System <processes.You> will provide technical and functional guidance supporting readiness assessments, mission-essential task development, and joint training planning.The role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to national-level training and readiness initiatives supporting government <stakeholders.You> will apply your knowledge of JMETLs, mission-essential task assessments, and annual training plans to strengthen operational preparedness.The position requires strong analytical judgment, familiarity with joint training doctrine, and the ability to operate effectively in a mission-focused <environment.You>’ll collaborate with experienced military and government professionals while applying established Joint Staff training methodologies.This is a strong fit for a seasoned practitioner who wants to use their expertise to support complex, high-impact training missions.

Accountabilities

  • Provide technical and functional expertise in Joint Training System processes, methodologies, and readiness assessment activities.
  • Support the development, review, and refinement of Joint Mission Essential Task Lists (JMETLs).
  • Conduct and support Mission Essential Task assessments to evaluate organizational readiness and identify capability gaps.
  • Develop and contribute to annual Joint Training Plans aligned with operational priorities and established training requirements.
  • Apply relevant Joint Chiefs of Staff joint training publications, policies, and processes to training and readiness activities.
  • Provide informed guidance and recommendations to stakeholders on joint training planning, assessment, and execution.
  • Collaborate with government, military, and training stakeholders to ensure training activities are aligned with mission objectives.
  • Apply structured analysis and military planning expertise to identify opportunities for improving training effectiveness and readiness outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Joint Training or a closely related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Joint Training System processes and associated readiness methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing Joint Mission Essential Task Lists (JMETLs).
  • Hands-on experience supporting Mission Essential Task assessments and readiness evaluations.
  • Experience developing annual Joint Training Plans and translating mission requirements into structured training activities.
  • Familiarity with CJCS Joint Training publications and the principles governing joint training and readiness.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex requirements and provide clear recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with government and military stakeholders.
  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • Preferred candidates may bring prior Joint Staff experience, Combatant Command training experience, or a military planning background.
