Senior QA Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior QA Engineer based in India.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the quality and reliability of enterprise cloud applications supporting the life sciences <industry.You> will play a key role in validating product functionality, ensuring release readiness, and maintaining high standards across the software testing lifecycle.The position combines hands-on manual testing with API validation, regression coverage, defect management, and AI application <testing.You> will work closely with QA leaders, product managers, and distributed engineering teams to translate requirements into effective test strategies.The role also offers exposure to emerging AI technologies, including Large Language Models and AI-powered application <validation.You> will operate in a technically sophisticated environment where quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement are highly valued.This position is well suited to a proactive QA professional who can work independently while helping strengthen testing practices across the team.

Accountabilities

• Apply strong knowledge of AI applications and emerging AI technologies to support quality assurance activities throughout product releases.
• Primarily perform comprehensive manual testing to validate application functionality, identify issues, and ensure release readiness.
• Analyze business and product requirements and translate them into clear test cases, test plans, and appropriate testing strategies.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing across product releases.
• Conduct API testing and validate application behavior across relevant integrations and workflows.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the software testing lifecycle using established defect-management processes.
• Use test and defect management tools such as Jira and Xray to maintain accurate testing records and communicate quality status.
• Coordinate closely with the QA Manager to ensure smooth handoffs, deliverables, and alignment across testing activities.
• Collaborate with QA engineers, product managers, and distributed teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Participate actively in team meetings and quality discussions to identify risks, clarify requirements, and improve release outcomes.
• Contribute to the testing and validation of AI-powered applications, including Large Language Models and AI model behavior.
• Apply appropriate verification and validation techniques to assess AI functionality, reliability, and expected application behavior.
• Mentor junior team members and promote consistent QA practices, testing standards, and quality engineering principles.
• Work proactively and independently while maintaining strong communication with relevant stakeholders throughout the development and release lifecycle.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, software development lifecycle processes, and QA best practices.
• Proven ability to analyze business requirements and develop comprehensive test cases and test plans.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies, including both functional and API testing.
• Experience performing functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing.
• Strong experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and verifying software defects.
• Experience with defect and test management platforms such as Jira and Xray.
• Experience testing AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), AI model verification and validation techniques, and AI-powered applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach to quality assurance.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams, including QA engineers and product managers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to mentor junior QA professionals and contribute to the adoption of quality engineering best practices.
• Experience in the life sciences or healthcare industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL queries is desirable.
