As a QA Analyst II, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of a flagship enterprise software <product.You> will work within an agile engineering team where quality is a shared responsibility and testing is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.The role combines functional, regression, exploratory, performance, compatibility, and integration testing across complex web <applications.You> will help the team deliver software quickly without compromising product quality, using structured testing and investigative techniques to uncover potential <issues.You> will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, developers, QA professionals, and technical writers throughout planning and release cycles.With a strong focus on browser, platform, and plugin compatibility, you will investigate real-world scenarios across interconnected software environments.This is an opportunity to influence product quality directly while working in a flexible, remote-first environment focused on continuous learning and innovation.
Accountabilities
- Plan and coordinate testing activities as part of iteration and release planning.
- Define and execute manual functional, regression, exploratory, compatibility, integration, and requirements-based testing.
- Perform system-level testing to validate product behavior, business logic, usability, and user interfaces.
- Conduct compatibility testing across browsers, Jira, Confluence, and relevant plugins and integrations.
- Create and maintain structured testing checklists to support consistent and efficient quality validation.
- Perform exploratory testing to identify unexpected behaviors, edge cases, and potential product risks.
- Investigate, document, and triage defects, providing clear information to support efficient resolution.
- Contribute to performance and security testing activities when required.
- Validate web application behavior, including HTTP request concepts such as GET and POST.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, software developers, other QA engineers, and technical writers.
- Participate actively in agile planning, prioritization, and release activities.
- Help maintain a high standard of product quality while supporting rapid and frequent software releases.
- Contribute to a culture where quality is shared across the entire engineering and product organization.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional software testing or QA experience.
- Solid hands-on experience planning and executing manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Experience creating and maintaining testing checklists.
- Strong experience testing web applications, including business logic, usability, and UI behavior.
- Understanding of HTTP fundamentals, including the distinction between GET and POST requests.
- Basic knowledge of web application security concepts, including cross-site scripting (XSS).
- Understanding of software development lifecycles and common software development methodologies.
- Experience working with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to identify, reproduce, and communicate defects clearly.
- Ability to prioritize testing activities and make sound quality decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in an agile environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
- ISTQB certification is considered an asset.
- Experience with Jira administration is considered an asset.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies is an asset.
- Experience using mind-mapping techniques is an asset.
- Experience with performance testing is an asset.
- Experience with security testing is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment and collaborate with distributed teams.
