This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Performance Creative Strategy based in United States.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Performance Creative professional ready to shape strategy, develop talent, and drive measurable business outcomes. You will lead a team of creative strategists while serving as a strategic partner to a portfolio of high-value clients. The role combines creative leadership, performance marketing expertise, client management, and business development in a fast-moving agency environment. You will turn performance data and audience insights into scalable creative strategies, testing frameworks, and actionable learnings. Working across Media, Strategy, Production, Design, UGC, Influencer, Client Services, and Operations, you will help deliver high-performing creative across the customer journey. You will also play a key role in evolving creative processes, adopting emerging technologies, and building systems that enable teams to work smarter and deliver stronger results.

Accountabilities

Serve as a senior strategic partner for a portfolio of key client accounts, ensuring creative strategy supports measurable business and performance objectives.

Own the health and growth of the team's book of business, balancing creative performance, client satisfaction, strategic value, and long-term partnership development.

Present creative strategies, performance insights, recommendations, and testing learnings to senior client stakeholders and executive audiences.

Navigate complex client challenges, provide strategic direction, and identify opportunities to strengthen and expand existing relationships.

Lead and develop a team of approximately 2–5 direct reports, including Associate Directors and Managers, while coaching senior talent and strengthening strategic and creative capabilities.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, continuous learning, and ownership across the Performance Creative team.

Guide staffing, capacity, and resource planning to ensure talent and expertise are aligned with business priorities and client needs.

Lead Performance Creative workstreams for new business opportunities, including RFP strategy, pitch development, presentations, and client meetings.

Collaborate with Media, Strategy, UGC, Influencer, Client Services, Design, Production, and Operations teams to create differentiated solutions for new and existing clients.

Improve creative processes, testing frameworks, department standards, and operating models to make performance creative more scalable and effective.

Champion the practical adoption of AI and emerging technologies to improve creative strategy, production workflows, team productivity, and operational efficiency.

Contribute to department planning, resource allocation, scopes of work, and other operational decisions supporting continued business and team growth.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in advertising, creative, or digital marketing agencies, including at least 5 years leading Performance Creative initiatives for paid media clients.

Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams, including coaching and mentoring senior-level creative or strategy professionals.

Deep expertise in Performance Creative across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon, Programmatic, Display, and emerging paid media channels.

Demonstrated ability to translate performance data and audience insights into scalable creative strategies, structured testing frameworks, and measurable creative learnings.

Strong experience managing senior client relationships, leading executive presentations, and acting as a trusted strategic advisor.

Proven ability to lead new business initiatives, including RFP strategy, pitches, presentations, and cross-functional proposal development.

Strong operational and commercial acumen, with experience supporting staffing plans, scopes of work, resource allocation, and departmental growth.

Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across multiple disciplines and build effective partnerships with Media, Client Services, Strategy, Production, Design, and Operations.

Practical experience using AI and emerging technologies to improve creative strategy, workflows, experimentation, and team efficiency.

Exceptional communication, presentation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex challenges and provide clear direction.

A builder's mindset, with a passion for developing people, creating scalable systems, improving processes, and continuously raising the standard for performance creative.

Ability to work remotely within most U.S. states, with some geographic exclusions.

Ability to work legally in the United States; this position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
