Internship Program Details
- Internship Duration: September 2026 – December 2026
- Weekly Commitment: 15 hours per week
- Timeline: Interviews will begin in mid-August
- Cohort of 4-5 interns for the duration of the semester
- Opportunity to work across various events including: Cross Country, Strength
and Fitness Events, Inland Northwest Hall of Fame, Wrestling, Indoor Track and
Field
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Interns will support the delivery of Spokane Sports events. Working within the Event
- Management department, interns will play a vital role in ensuring events run smoothly,
- partners are well-supported, and participants enjoy a world-class experience. Each
- intern will contribute to the overall success of events aligned with Spokane Sports’
- mission and standards of excellence.
Event Operations Intern (4-5 Positions)
- Event Preparation & Teardown: Participate in preparations for events and assist
with post-event teardown.
- Venue Operations: Handle equipment setup, staging, assembly, and organization
of work areas and tables.
- Volunteer/Officials Coordination Management: Manage and coordinate
volunteers and officials on-site to ensure smooth operations.
- Transportation Management: Coordinate transportation logistics for athletes,
- staff, and spectators by managing vehicle traffic plans, schedules, and
- arrival/departure logistics.
- Coordinate and support all hospitality and special event logistics by managing
- vendor and catering deliveries, organizing hospitality locations and supplies,
- overseeing awards operations, and assisting with planning and execution of
- ancillary events, socials, and meetings.
Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements
- Extensive time spent onsite at events.
- Frequent evening and weekend shifts required during event season.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and actively participate in event setup
and teardown.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during event days.
- Reliable transportation to and from event sites.
- Weekly commitment of 15 hours per week.
- Work conditions will vary throughout the season through all weather conditions.
Compensation & Benefits
