About The Role
GYG is investing heavily in its digital and martech capability. The Martech & Innovation Specialist is the person who keeps the stack running, the data flowing, and the innovation pipeline moving - owning platform operations, attribution infrastructure, and marketing technology pilots that will compound GYG's competitive advantage.
What You'll Do
- Own the day-to-day operation of key elements of GYG's martech stack, including the CDP, tag management, marketing automation integrations, and identity resolution
- Configure platforms, manage data flows, and coordinate vendors to keep the stack reliable and performant
- Build and maintain the data architecture and pipes that power marketing data
- Build audiences for downstream targeting, support lifecycle marketing and personalisation initiatives, and ensure measurable outcomes.
- Own data governance for marketing data, ensuring quality, consistency, and clear documentation
- Manage privacy and consent compliance across platforms
- Own and execute the AI and innovation roadmap within marketing, running proofs-of-concept and pilots from idea through to evaluation
- Drive internal AI enablement, upskilling the marketing team to use AI tools confidently and responsibly
- Evaluate emerging vendors and technologies, building evidence-based cases for adoption, scale, or exit
What You'll Bring
- 4+ years experience in martech, marketing operations, or a related digital or data role
- Hands-on experience operating core martech platforms such as a CDP, tag management, marketing automation, and identity resolution tools
- Demonstrated experience setting up or maintaining marketing attribution and marketing data architecture
- Demonstrated experience with event and event properties, segmentation and personalisation
- Experience using AI tools and helping others adopt them, and running AI or technology pilots, proofs-of-concept or vendor evaluations
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across both technical and marketing teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and marketing audiences
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Data, or a related field, or equivalent experience
