About The Role
Highland Pointe Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.
We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. We value experienced technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.
In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.
Responsibilities Include
Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
Assisting in surgery
Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.
This is a full-time position, with flexible scheduling options. Availability is needed Monday-Friday and rotating weekends.
Full-Time Benefits and Compensation**
Compensation: $16-$20/hour, for each hour worked*
Bonus Package: Up to $500, based on years of experience

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set
3+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
Proficiency in the following skills
Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
Client education and communication
Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
