About The Role

Pinebrook Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. We value experienced technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.

In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.

Responsibilities include

  • Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
  • Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Assisting in surgery
  • Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
  • Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
  • Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

Schedule and compensation

  • Compensation: $17 - $26 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

Your Qualifications

5+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience preferred

Proficiency in the following skills (preferred)

Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring

Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery

Surgical assistance and aseptic technique

Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography

Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement

Radiology positioning and safety protocols

Medication administration and accurate drug calculations

Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
