Liquidation and Custody Backoffice Manager (Casa de Bolsa)
platacard · Mexico
About The Role
We are looking for a technically sharp Liquidation and Custody Back-Office Manager to own the post-trade settlement and securities custody operations of Casa de Bolsa Plata, a new brokerage firm currently in its pre-operational phase, targeting CNBV licensing in the upcoming months and commencement of operations in December 2026.
This is a foundational role: you will define the settlement workflow, establish INDEVAL connectivity, and build the back-office procedures before a single client trade is executed. From Day 1 of operations, you will be responsible for ensuring every trade settles correctly, on time, every time.
If you are a back-office professional who knows DALÍ, CCV, and SPEI/SIAC inside and out, and you want to build something from the ground up, this role is for you.
Challenges that await you
Define the settlement workflow and back-office procedures manual
Establish INDEVAL participant connectivity and test accounts (DALÍ system)
Configure CCV membership protocols and margin calculation procedures
Design the client account segregation model per CUCB Art. 80
Coordinate SPEI/SIAC cash settlement procedures with the firm's banking counterpart
Participate in the CNBV commencement-of-operations inspection — operations and custody section
Conduct simulated settlement cycles using internal test trades
Once live: daily settlement of equity, fixed income, and money market trades via INDEVAL DALÍ; manage failed trades, buy-ins, and settlement exceptions; process corporate actions; submit custody and settlement regulatory reports (CNBV Reports R04, R05)
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years in back-office or custody operations at a casa de bolsa or custodian bank
- Direct, hands-on experience with INDEVAL's DALÍ system — this is non-negotiable
- Working knowledge of CCV (Contraparte Central de Valores) settlement cycles
- Familiarity with SPEI/SIAC for the cash leg of securities transactions
- Comfortable operating under strict T+1/T+2 settlement deadlines
- Advanced english and spanish
Nice to Have
- Experience setting up INDEVAL connectivity for a new participant
- Familiarity with FIX protocol or OMNet connectivity
- Exposure to CNBV regulatory reporting related to custody (R04, R05)
- Experience joining an institution during its pre-operational or start-up phase
- If you want to build a back-office from scratch and become operationally critical to a new player in the Mexican capital markets, we'd love to hear from you.
