[What you will be working on]

Shape how millions of Singaporeans understand and act on weather information. Join a team transforming mission-critical public platforms into intuitive, trusted experiences that help people make better decisions when it matters most.

The Weather Product team in National Environment Agency (NEA) is responsible for designing, building, and continuously improving consumer and business facing weather platforms, including <weather.gov.sg> and myENV, that deliver timely, accurate, and actionable weather information to the public and key stakeholders in Singapore. The team's objective is to become Singapore's trusted, go-to source of weather and environmental information, delivering accurate, hyperlocal, and real-time insights that help members of the public make more informed decisions.

Lead end-to-end UX design for consumer and business facing weather products, including <weather.gov.sg> and myENV

Connect and align user journeys across multiple products within the weather pillar to create coherent, unified experiences

Translate complex weather data, forecasts, and warnings into clear, simple, and intuitive interfaces

Plan and conduct discovery research (interviews, usability testing, concept validation) to inform design decisions in ambiguous problem spaces

Shape information architecture and interaction patterns that help users understand and act on weather information

Contribute to and evolve the design system, establishing consistent UI patterns across products

Partner closely with product managers, engineers, forecasters, and policy stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes

Guide stakeholders through design decisions, articulating rationale and advocating for user needs

Drive iterative design improvements through rapid testing and feedback cycles

Collaborate with other designers across NEA and play a key role in shaping UX standards, practices, and capability over time

[What we are looking for]

Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)

At least 5 years of experience in UX or product design with proven experience in shipping high quality digital products.

Strong experience designing consumer-facing (B2C) digital products at scale (web and/or mobile)

Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and concepts into clear, intuitive user experiences

Experience creating and contributing to design systems

Solid grounding in user research methods and ability to lead discovery in ambiguous problem spaces

Strong strategic thinking: ability to design for outcomes and user behaviour, not just screens and features

Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with ability to influence stakeholders and guide them toward better design outcomes

Self-directed and comfortable operating with autonomy in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Resilient and iterative: committed to crafting delightful user experiences through continuous feedback, learning, and a balanced approach to design
