About The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer reporting to VP, Software Engineering, you'll play a critical role in designing and delivering scalable software solutions that power Nasdaq's technology platforms. You'll work on high-impact projects that enhance client experiences and drive innovation across global markets. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement full-stack solutions for web applications, ensuring compatibility across platforms and browsers. Build and maintain front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, with a focus on performance and user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions that support scalability and efficiency. Mentor team members on best practices, system improvements, and emerging technology trends. Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. 6+ years of full-stack development experience with strong expertise in front-end technologies. Proficiency in JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, and Java (Java 8+ preferred). Experience with RESTful web services, SQL and NoSQL databases, and modern build tools (Git, Maven). Strong communicator who works well in collaborative, Agile environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and DevOps practices. Familiarity with Spring framework, Node.js, and automated testing tools (JUnit, Karma, Jasmine). Background in financial services, fintech, or capital markets technology. This position will be located in Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates. The base pay range for this role is $104,000 - $148,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
