Job Description
We’re currently on the hunt for a Senior P&C Advisor to join our hard-working support office team based in Glenfield. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll be in the thick of it, partnering with leaders across multiple school sites.
As our Senior P&C Advisor, you’ll act as a trusted partner to leaders, guiding them through everything from day-to-day people decisions to complex employment relations matters. You’ll play a critical role in lifting leadership capability, driving consistency across sites, and helping shift the organisation from reactive HR to proactive, forward-thinking people practices.
A peek into your new role
Providing practical, commercially sound advice to leaders on ER, performance, conduct, and people management matters
Leading complex ER cases and investigations with confidence, discretion, and strong judgement
Acting as the senior people leader in the business, setting the tone for strong, consistent and fair people practices across sKids New Zealand
Owning and leading people-focused projects and initiatives that strength, simplify and embed policies, processes and frameworks
Reviewing and strengthening policies, frameworks, and people processes to improve consistency and compliance
Driving continuous improvement in how people practices operate day to day, shifting the organisation from reactive HR to proactive, future focused capability
Working alongside Talent Acquisition and P&C support roles to guide recruitment, onboarding, and workforce decisions
Using people data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and influence better decision making
Providing trusted advice and challenge to leaders, helping lift leadership capability and accountability across the organisation

Qualifications
- Proven experience in a generalist HR / People & Culture advisory role, supporting leaders across the full employee lifecycle - multi site highly regarded
- Strong ER capability, with experience managing complex cases and investigations end-to-end
- Experience working in fast-paced, operational or frontline environments (retail, hospitality, education, care, etc.)
- Confident coaching and influencing leaders, including challenging where needed
- Data literate, with the ability to interpret workforce trends and translate them into actionable insights
- Tertiary qualification in HR, Employment Relations, Business, or similar - desired
