About The Role
Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Senior Practitioner/Advanced Practitioner to join our client in Knowsley's Mental Health Team on an initial 3-month contract covering maternity leave.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mental Health practitioner to support the day-to-day functions of the team, providing professional leadership, supervision, and oversight while managing a small caseload of complex adult cases.
What will your responsibilities be?
Provide supervision, guidance, and support to Social Workers within the Mental Health Team.
Hold and manage a small complex caseload.
Undertake assessments, reviews, and care planning in line with statutory responsibilities.
Support decision-making around safeguarding, risk management, and complex Mental Health cases.
Promote strengths-based and person-centred practice.
Work collaboratively with health professionals, service users, families, carers, and partner agencies.
Ensure accurate recording and compliance with relevant legislation and local procedures.
Assist Team Managers with the smooth operation of the service.
Contract Details
Contract Length: Initial 3-month assignment
Start Date: 17 August 2026
Location: Halewood Centre, Knowsley, L26 9UH
Working Pattern: Hybrid working (2-3 office days per week, remainder home-based)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have;
Qualified Social Worker (BA, MA, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
Registered with Social Work England.
Previous experience as a Senior Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner.
Significant experience within Adult Mental Health Services.
Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act, and Adult Safeguarding legislation.
Experience providing supervision, mentoring, or practice leadership to other social workers.
Strong assessment, risk management, and multi-agency working skills.
