About The Role
Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join its client’s Support and Protect Team in Workington, Cumberland. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated Child Protection team, supporting children and families where there are safeguarding concerns. You will undertake statutory responsibilities, complete assessments, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and achieve positive outcomes.

- What will your responsibilities be?
- Manage a varied caseload of children and families within the Child Protection team.
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need, and Child Protection work in line with statutory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused care and support plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
- Build effective relationships with children and families, undertaking direct work to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
- Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, and court statements where required.
- Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, child protection conferences, core groups, and legal planning meetings.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver coordinated, child-centred interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory guidance, local policies, and professional standards.
- Assess and manage risk effectively, making informed decisions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Promote strengths-based practice while ensuring the child's voice remains central to all assessment, planning, and intervention.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have;
Social Work England registration
Eligible to work in the UK.
Hold a full UK license.
Post-qualified experience
Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
