Engineer - Head of Fleet Maintenance and Repair

ENGINEER - HEAD OF FLEET MAINTENANCE & REPAIR

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and manage preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure maximum equipment availability
• Oversee workshop operations, including repairs, servicing, and breakdown management
• Diagnosing faults, performing root cause analysis, and minimizing downtime
• Monitor and control maintenance costs within budget
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Lead and develop the workshop team to improve performance and skills
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) policies and safe work practices
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and internal procedures
• Manage spare parts, inventory, and supplier coordination
• Provide technical support and collaborate with management on operational improvements

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in mechanical Engineering, Automotive, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in heavy equipment or vehicle maintenance
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, diagnostics, and workshop operations
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and ISO standards
• Technical expertise in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership, planning, and team management abilities
• Basic budgeting and cost control knowledge
• Proficiency in MS Office (ERP knowledge is an advantage)
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure
